Special messages from the board: Updated May 13, 2010 Summer is just around the corner and everything is starting to sprout new growth. It's all so beautiful yet some of it is just a passing beauty. Soon summer will be here and things will dry out and the fire season will be upon us. So now is the time to clean and clear your property to avoid a potentially hazardous situation. Of course there is the 100 ft firesafe rule and then there is the fact we live in a forest on the edge of federal and state owned land that is not cleared and maintained real well - they do what they can but it is up to us to make sure our properties are "fire safe". This would include clearing brush and tall grasses and weeds, trimming trees up to avoid any fire climbing into the crowns of the trees and removing dead or dying trees from our properties. You will find links to all of the local fire prevention information and sites on the sites of interest page and you can go to the Chamber of Commerce sight to find some people that can do the work if you are not up to it. If we all do our part our neighborhood will be fire safe and we can all sleep soundly tonight ! |
NOTE REGARDING DUES AND LATE FEES There has been some confusion regarding the due date for quarterly dues/ assessment billings. Dues are pre-billed for the coming quarter and are due on the date shown on the invoice. There is a grace period of 15 days from the due date, after which a late fee will apply. Dues are considered paid on the date of the postmark on the envelope they are received in. |
